Anyway, I can hardly avoid the ads for it if I watch anything else on that station. I just don't think finding someone who can sing is all that big of a deal.

Just not my cup of tea. I do find the commercials mildly annoying, as most are.

I would like to point out that I've *NEVER* posted in an Idol thread busting anyone's chops about OPing the topic.

We all need to calm down and let other people enjoy chatting about stuff we personally aren't interested in.

9. I have watched America's Got Talent. I don't watch American Idol.
Both have British versions.

America's Got Talent has no age limit and it has a variety of acts, not just singers.

To me, American Idol is painful to watch...and hear......
