I'm a fan of Johnny Cash, but even I have to admit that turning Tim Hardin's delicate ballad into a "question-and-answer" country duet was a bad idea. Bobby Darin's cover is still the best of the well-known versions, but the composer's own recording remains especially touching.

post that version... in history's sake...

But it sucked.
