They are always fucking bullshit. The hosts are always just actors that know nothing about decorating. They just repeat what they've been told to say. The "ideas" they come up with are almost never anything more than "Lets buy the most expensive shit on the market and act like that counts as decorating expertise." The aesthetic touches they come up with never have any utility or practical value. And, the value that they say their ideas add to the house are always so ridiculous I can't believe anyone falls for it.

My all time favorite moment on those shows happened on one of those stupid "flipping" shows. This couple was having trouble selling their home so they decided to bring in the "experts". The "experts" walked through the house and came up with their recommendations. The first thing they pointed to was the dark paint the couple had used in the dining room. The expert said something condescending like "What ever possessed you to use that dark color in here?" and the couple said "Uhh... we saw you tell another couple to do that on your show."

...they tell the viewers (several weeks after the show was initially taped) what a wonderful experience it was, AND THAT THEY'RE STILL WAITING TO GET THE RIGHT OFFER ON THE HOUSE


Yeah .....that was 2 grand well spent

and maybe with the exception of the occasional cooking show, I never watch any of the above named "entertainment".
Nascar, Poker, etc just suck outright. I have never watched a "reality" show for more than a minute. Golf on TV is like watching paint dry. na Decorating shows are even worse, if possible. I have had several root canals, and I'd go this morning in preference to watching "celebs" do anything requiring independent thought.

I have a sat dish, hundreds of channels, many times find NOTHING worth watching on any of them.
