So how does the magnetic stripe on phone cards work. I was trying to sell
one to a customer today and didn't notice the strip until he left (he didn't want to punch in numbers). I don't use a phone card except for my cell. Do regular public telephone booths have a reader that will read the stripe? Do you have to punch anything in like the pin number? Or does it all happen with one swipe?
