When good things happen to good people...

President Obama named John Kacavas as his pick for US Attorney for New Hampshire.

This is excellent news.

John is one of the good guys. His resume is the sort of thing we all dream about when filling out our law school applications: assistant attorney general, chief of the homicide prosecution unit, congressional aide, state legislator, partner in one of the state's most respected criminal defense firms.

Best of all, he is a true gentleman.

I served with John in the House in 2001-2002, and volunteered on his near-miss run for Executive Council. He is smart, honest, and a skilled attorney.

Nice guys can finish first! Congratulations to John and Mindy and the kids!
