How insulted should I be about the grocery checker telling me I look exactly like Javier Bardem?
Edited on Sat May-16-09 04:40 PM by Bossy Monkey
I finally got around to seeing "No Country for Old Men" today and it reminded me of the time about a year ago when the checkout girl at Publix told me that I look like Javier Bardem. What she said was, "You look just like that guy in the movie who's chasing that other guy everywhere." Her co-worker fortunately (and amazingly) was able to translate. When I got home and Google Imaged him, I was not well-pleased. Seeing the movie, I get her point. I've got the overbite, the long nose, the weak chin, and at the time I had the unfortunate haircut to match. Sooo, should I get a bag to wear over my head, or a bell to warn children? Link to my picture in the DU gallery (under my old name undisclosedlocation) will be added upon edit.

Edit: See?

2. I kind of suck at flipping coins actually
Then again, maybe they can take care of that in post-production. (I missed "Friendo" entirely during my viewing and had to google; disadvantage of watching movies on a laptop with an attention-hungry kitty I guess).

4. Oh man, you missed your chance
The legendary, iconic scene from No Country for Old Men involves a cashier making small talk.

If you're in that situation again, keep a quarter in your pocket from 1958 and buy a pack of Planters.

9. Scene probably wouldn't play as well between a creepy old white guy and a black teenage girl
and, as I say, my coin-flipping skills are limited.:)

7. I believe that the Buffalo Springfield will return, and we must be ready
I had that haircut at various times in the '70s and '80s, though not as far as I can remember in 1980 when the movie seems to be set. I don't really think my hair looked like that a year ago; it was longer than it is now, but a few notches above egregious (I hope).:P

18. I kind of preferred the John Lennon one. Harold Ramis, not so much.
But I'm fairly amused by all of these.
