I'm a sucker for big summer movies. Also, I apparently can't notice a one-letter difference in a thread title, so shame on me.

4. Yes.
It looks like it could totally restart the franchise and fill out the Terminator universe beyond "Arnold vs someone else".

7. I'm sorry, I missed the downside of this argument...
"it could totally restart the franchise and fill out the Terminator universe beyond "Arnold vs someone else."

Which would be bad because...

9. Well, the first three movies were limiting.
The evil robots had to look like humans or they would destroy the time line. In the future, where the robots dominate, they don't have to hide anymore and we can get a glimpse of what kind of death machines Skynet can come up with.

10. Yes, but a universe beyond Arnold would be bad because...

16. I think people think you're being negative because of your avatar & sigfile image
They both seem so disapproving.

12. I'm hoping that the drool will short out the robots, giving the humans an easy victory.

13. early reviews are tearing it apart
calling bad on a "Catwoman" type of level.

It's directed by McG, who made crapfests like "Charlies Angels" Full Throttle" and We Are marshall," so it's not surprising

14. Yeah it looks good from the previews - NEVER trust the previews
The reviews are god-awful. I'm saving my money for Drag Me To Hell and Pixar's Up. Reviews for those over at rottentomatoes are excellent. Really looking forward to seeing Sam Raimi return to his horror roots with Drag Me To Hell.

17. Terminator without Arnold. Who the hell thought that would work?
Other than Arnold, two things always made Terminator work. It paired killing machines with strong female characters and there was a nice subtle humor about the overall silliness of the concept. It looks like the director chose to leave both these elements out of the film.
