I'm either too fast or too slow
Over at the dating site I get to talking to women sometimes by private message, and it seems like the majority of them like to chat with you through the written word a long time before they'll let you have their phone number. I've written 30 e-mails to one woman before, just trying to get a phone number. I'm alright with that as long as the conversation is going good.

So I was talking to a woman from that site for about a week recently just cruising along figuring she'd want to write for a little while before giving out her phone number. The conversation was going good and I was thinking about asking for her number in the next message or the one after that. Then she stopped writing, and I didn't know why. A couple of days went by and she still hadn't responded to my last e-mail. Then I get a message from her today. She said that on the day I first e-mailed her another guy responded to her that she wanted to talk to. He basically just asked for her number before I did. :banghead:

I've been doing this internet dating deal for about a year now. I think I'm going to try it out in the real world and see what happens.
