4. Binge drinking and Britain go together like fish and chips

When I lived there briefly in the early 90s, it was prevalent, but it wasn't a huge problem. From what I understand, it has gotten much worse in the 2000s. I even worked in a pub, so I saw my share of binge drinking, but it was not too big a deal.

Sadly, Brits have become more like Americans in this respect. Even sadder still, I don't think binge drinking is purely a British phenomenon either, as many other European countries are having problems with it too.

7. There is a myth that European countries don't have trouble with alcohol because it's not...

considered such a big deal over there. As someone who has lived in multiple European countries, I have my doubts about that. People like to get severely fucked up there. The only difference is that it's not considered as big a deal.
