What are your plans for the long weekend?

I hope no one says, "I have to work." :(

Actually, mostly working in the garden (which I enjoy). I'm trying to get the pool area cleared of weeds so I can start filling the thing. That has the ADDED benefit of getting the pool OUT OF MY FUCKING GARAGE!

On a related note to my response, when I was 19 or so (early 80's), I walked into work one Monday sort of strung out from the weekend. The 50 something receptionist said, "So, what did you do this weekend?" There were several young women in the reception area at the time. I shot back, "Drink, drugs and debauchery". She just said "O-KAAAaaayy." I got coffee and headed for my office.

it's no biggie, i've worked weekends almost nonstop for about 10 years

Then I plan to live in my garden Sunday and Monday. Lots to do there.

Possibly guns, fireworks and ATVs may be involved. Good chance of ending up in a biker bar.

You know the usual.

Today is grocery shopping and laundry and such...

Tomorrow, hanging out with LeftyClimber and her household, cooking out and watching ice hockey.

Sunday i have to work 5:30am - 3:30pm
Monday i work from 3:30pm - 12:30am

No work, plus I was at training and didn't work all this week.

Buddy called me on Tuesday and said he has two extra tickets to the Indy 500, and asked me if I could go, and if I could use the extra ticket.

What do you think I said? Oh, hell yeah!

So, my son and I are going to watch the race on Sunday with my buddy and his wife.

He's even going to do the driving.

I have a friend with a beach house...it pretty much guarantees a good time will be had by all!

I do live a life of excitement.

That should be interesting to say the least. We've been dating for a couple of months, and it's about time I met her dad and siblings. I've met her kids already and they're all great so hopefully this will go well too.

We are finally into the frost-free season! I have a ton of veggies to plant. Flowers will have to wait until next week.

But it's not a long weekend for me, either, so it doesn't matter. (Though working weekends does suck in general.)

buy an expensive sports car, and drive it to the East Coast for an illicit rendezvous.

I need to get a pile of data analyzed for my masters project, get the Scantron key made for the final exam next week, and make some test modifications for the special ed. kids in my class. The last two won't take long but the other will be a pain in the butt which is why I've procrastinated on it so long.

I also need to do some work in the yard (hedge trimming, raking -- that doesn't count as gardening!), clean house, sleep.

But tomorrow I'm going Goodwill shopping. We have half-price Saturdays and they totally rock. And I'll definitely see Star Trek this weekend and maybe take the pups to the doggie park if it isn't too hot.
