A tribute to Leonard Cohen
On Sundance right now...

A quibble in an otherwise wonderful film...

They have all these great avant guard performers but don't bother to introduce them at all as if if you have to ask it shows how postivily bourgeoisie you are...

1. Is this the Montreal Jazz Festival (2008) tribute to Cohen?
If so, Steven Page's cover of Cohen's "A Singer Must Die" is absolutely exquisite. :thumbsup:

The rest, they really aren't letting on who is singing.

My favorite songs by Leonard are First we Take Manhattan, Sisters of Mercy and the Partisan..

What cracks me up about Hallelujah is that the song is about doubting religion and various games played with in the bounds of love...

And not about Shrek falling in love.

was nothing short of mind blowing! Seriously one of the greatest performances I have ever seen! :wow:
