72-Hour Emergency Preparedness Kit
Sometime in the past 2 years, I became sufficiently concerned enough to prepare a 72-hour kit. This will happen from time to time. Also, over the past two years, we have regularly borrowed from it for hikes and camping, when we need candles or advil, or need a peanut butter snack.

Last night, we were going through everything in our house for a yard sale. My wife came across the 72-Hour Kit in the pantry. If an emergency came tonight and we ran with our kit, we would have:

1-deck of cards
1-8oz. Hillshire Farms Beef Summer Sausage
1-2 oz. jar of Maxwell House Instant Coffee
1-pack of Huggies wipes
1-pack of matches

Luckily, two diet cokes had also been left behind by my father-in-law about two years ago.

We would be fine. :)
