I really should be out mowing my lawn.
All the dogs are in, and its been 24 hours since it last rained. It will probably rain in 3 or 4 hours, so I don't have much of a window to do it. It is, however, like a thousand degrees outside so I'm a bit unmotivated.

I need a hot half naked sunbathing neighbor or something, dammit.

3. Isn't lawn mowing in hideously hot weather a primary reason
that humans reproduce? Sure, there's a four- or five-year breaking-in/training period, but aren't you expecting quads or quints or something? That means you can rotate gardeners at some point! :D

4. Mow in the evening
or in the morning before it's too hot. That's what I try to do.

5. The dogs are out on the lawn doing thier business in the morning and evenings.
He had a brief window where none of his four legged house guests was using the facilities.

6. Lol!
Then he's doomed. I mowed mine in the afternoon last week. It is damn hot.

But then I went swimming!

7. He is doomed. No pool and his AC is full of fail.
Maybe he can hose himself off afterward or take a quick show...

I have to go think about that. I'll be back later.

8. A snake startled the hell out of me, but the lawn is finished!
Just in time, too as the rain has started to fall.

Nothing like the smell of freshly cut grass.

I'm bathed and beered and ready to enjoy the cooling rain.

9. Me too.
I should have mowed my lawn and finished working on that twig fence I'm building around my potato garden. But first I had to go to the grocery store to pick up a few things for the weekend. The grocery store is right next to the liquor store. Today was customer appreciation day at the liquor store. They were having tons of tastings and sales. Of course I had to stop in there. I tasted 7 different wines, 6 beers, and a rum that I ordinarily would never have tried. Quite a few I liked. Of course I had to buy two six's of beer, forgetting how tired beer makes me.

After getting home, grilling a quick burger and drinking a very tasty, full bodied beer, there's no way I'm doing that yard work now. I think I'll just sit here all fat and happy on the couch until some of the happy wears off. Then I'll walk the dogs. That's about as much ambition as I can handle.

The lawn can wait until tomorrow.
