It is time for my annual change of socks, and I need to scrape the old ones off.

1. Use paint stripper. Fast and easy.
There's no need to wash your feet after that treatment either.

2. But my feet are itching real bad...I'm sensing a fungal infection.
Paint stripper would only aggravate that. I don't want to damage my feet.

4. Oh. That's a different story. Rub your socks with Ivory soap and they'll slip right off,

then use a blowtorch to burn off the fungus.

Use a blowtorch to burn off the fungus... Use a blowtorch to burn off the fungus... If I had a nickel for every time someone has said that to me, I'd be rich.

3. Vegetable peeler. Much quicker.
There's the issue of taking skin with it, but I think that's a moot point now.

5. That would not be good.
I treat my feet with tender loving care, and I will not subject them to a peeler. I'm not worried about the cutting. I'm worried that there may be vegetable residue on the peeler, and I might get an allergic rash on my feet. That would be horrible.

20. no, I'm short on water
the Mexicans I sheltered and gave coffee to last Thursday apparently broke open a pipeline with a rock before they made it up here to the house. Didn't find out until we went to pump water yesterday. Today we had to find the break and fix it. Only have about a foot of water in the house tank until later tonight or in the morning. Sigh.

I'm really sorry to hear this. That was such a kind gesture on your part, and now you have to deal with this? Are there any other sources of water near you?

23. Oh man, do I have sandpaper...
I'll use mine so you can keep yours. I'll start with 60 grit, then 100, then 220.
