Goddamned insurance company! I knew it!
So I *thought* I was going to get my interferon without a fight---Nope. I was right in my first assessment. I was *supposed* to get my interferon today but I found a message from the pharmacy on my work e-mail saying they need "prior authorization" which means it can't be shipped out until today IF I'M LUCKY. I hate this shit. HATE IT....The prior authorization means they have to look at the paperwork to see if its helping (yes I went from 1600 last year to 350 this year!). Last time this happened it took two weeks...Fucking bean counters! :banghead:

Insurance companies make their money by preventing care it seems. What a screwed up system!

2. This is when its good to have Mayo clinic in your corner.
But even then the company insists on having their own medical staff review it. Thats what takes time.x(
