Poll question: What kind of pillow do you sleep on?
I like a soft fluffy down pillow, but I usually have a firmer one under it to help keep my head in line with my spine. Otherwise I will have a headache all the next day. (And I use a body pillow between my knees for my back.)

1. Off white with some slight sweat stains.
The pillowcase is forest green.

2. I found a pillow at
Bed, Bath and Beyond that is "synthetic down". I have no idea what that really means but I really like it a lot as it holds it's shape better than down and it's really comfortable. I didn't think I would like it as much as I do as I have always used down pillows.

3. Memory foam, or my own arm, but I'm not impressed with either,
but I will stay tuned to this thread to see what others post.

I'm sick of having headaches all the time.

But don't tell my friends...they would just say "Told you he was weird"

I like to read in bed, so they come in handy for that. Also I like a lot of pillows.

23. I have only 5, but the dog has one of his own, and my wife has 2...
We read in bed a lot - except for the dog - and they are great for support. My wife likes down pillows, I have anti-alergenic foam or some damn thing. (The dog has just plain foam.)

I love it! A solid memory foam pillow made me feel like I was going to suffocate. The combo is perfect!

32. No, not too bad
They're a little crunchy when you shift your head a bit to make a little depression, and then it's so amazingly comfortable you are fast asleep and don't care.

I used to have fearful backaches and a stiff neck every morning. Thanks to that buckwheat pillow both have gone bye-bye and never returned.

18. My husband has a favorite pillow.
It is a down pillow that has lost most of its feathers. I wash and dry our down pillows in the machines, they lose a few feathers, but it freshens them up.

19. I have one down pillow and one synthetic-filled pillow.
I pile the down pillow on top of the other one. I kind of stagger them rather than put stack them straight up.

20. Which one?
There are the old hard synthetic fill, the newer starting to be hard synthetic fill, the down fill, the cheap memory foam, the tempurpedic memory foam, and the "didn't like the way it contoured, so I cut the foam into little bits and now have a custom shape cheap memory foam mixed with all the tempurpedic samples I was collecting" pillow.

Its summer. Allergies have kicked in. I use them all, memory foam atop the others. Sometimes I wonder if it might not be easier just to sleep in a chair. But it prevents drowning and my back seems to like it, so I go with it.

21. Firm contoured foam pillow.
I need a very firm pillow and the contour helps keep my head/neck positioned the same whether I'm on my back or side.

The I have two regular pillows laying to either side of me that I slip my top leg over when I do turn to the side.

I love it! I've got allergies so down pillows, while comfy can really cause me discomfort.

30. s. Pillow...S - plural
two feather/down, a fake feather/synthetic filled, a small feather/and another odd foam thing that came off a lounge chair. A king size pillow case fits it and it is mostly for propping up reading material.

31. Two pillows
A soft down pillow for under my head. Then a light, no flat foam over top. A down pillow also on top, muffles the alarm. It's something to do with light. In hostels, I use my fleece pulli with a sleeve wrapped over my eyes.

I've had new girlfriends ask if I was hiding from them when eventually we sleep and my head burrows under a pillow.

34. Memory foam is great!
Got two of the foam pillows with a pad I got to resurrect my saggy king size bed.

The top and bottom edge are rounded and higher.

I love it b/c I can shove it under my neck and it will support my neck and head, and keep my neck absolutely straight. :D
