Mr Belle follows all that team sport stuff and I try to ignore it as much as possible, but I do absorb a bit of baseball simply through osmosis.

I just tried to solve that. It can't be solved. You end up as 0=0, so it's NULL, EMPTY SET, or the 0 with the line through it.

Yikes, sorry. It's my husband's weekend on and it's just too tough when it is. I already have a babysitter for Boston (which is the next "on" weekend for him), but I think I'm out for NYC. Bummer. :(

Most of which was in the past 6 months. I was so shy here at first, I hardly posted. It took me from November 2002 until July I think to hit 100 posts. Mostly I just lurked and read LBN or GD.

I'm thinking of exiting at 999 and returning with a new name so I don't have to be part of the DU establishment. and doing that again and again

At the time, I was chatting on IM with a DU buddy (now he's gone:( ) and asked him to "pop my 1000 post cherry", so he did. Kind of cute at the name anyway.

Actually, I don't care how many posts I have to my name. 1000, which is all that anyone seems to pay attention to, is too many for me to care about impressing anyone with.

I just stick around because things are interesting here.

But, have you ever noticed, here, that people actually DO things to support what they believe in? People here don't just respond to posts, with their own opinion (which is easy to do, when you think about it), but they respond, often, with very useable information.

And, yes, sometimes it takes a little bit of work, to use that information, to change your world, but remember: it IS as Ghandi said, "Sometimes whatever you do might seem insignificant, but it is very important that you do it." Your actions DO make a difference.

They make a difference even when you don't think that they do.

We all have different types of lives and I'd like to think those who care enough to talk about the issues that we talk about in DU, in one way or another contribute something somewhere within each of their respective individuals lives. I hope so anyway.

Everyone, all of us, needs to break out of our mold, and really push ourselves, to work for what we believe in.

When you have the basic belief that all of us are good, it is easy to believe that your neighbor will do as you would do, and therefore it is not as important that you, yourself, do it, but we have seen the tacticts of our Republican brothers, and we must counter it, if nothing else.

All I am saying is that we, each one of us, needs to use our respective positions, and gifts, in life, to work towards our own truth, in all of it's divesity.
