My only regret is that we didn't go overland to India. It was one of the few times that Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan and Pakistan weren't at war. That wOuld have been incredible.

Hitch hiked to the Indy 500 in 1977 because a woman had qualified
(Janet Guthrie) and I wanted to see her race, and I had heard it was a good party...got infield tickets and met up with a bunch of friends from my hometown. Smoked a joint with a couple of guys we met and after we got loaded they whipped out badges, local Indy cops, and laughed their asses off and told us to tell everyone we got high with Indianapolis' Finest...
caught a ride to Louisville with some people we met and planned on continuing on to Tampa Florida for a Led Zeppelin concert, but got robbed in Nashville, got away with the $20 I had stashed in one sock and the several packs of smokes in my various pockets.
Come to think of it, I could have posted this in the "Stupidest" thread too *lol*

Our band opened a few dates for the Police during their Syncronicity World Tour. We played one show in from of over 30,000. I was so excited, that I hopped into a cab immediately following our set and left the venue. I was kinda freaked out by it all.

10. Spent a month in Mexico
For my last Spanish college class. I was the most adventurous of the other people who attended - most from my university. I took bus trips to other cities or long subway trips to distant parts of Mexico City to visit friends I had made in high school the first week. My fellow students were amazed every time I came back alive. Also lost my virginity on that trip - that was a bonus. :)

30. Probably a plane trip in Alaska
After HS, I spent a summer in Alaska visiting my sister. At that time, there were many less women than men so we got lot's of attention. An acquaintance/friend? of my sisters flew planes for a living and got a call to go outback and drop some food. He wanted company and asked if I wanted to go. Sure. Turns out he got a thrill from trying to scare his passengers..me. We flew about 6 feet from grizzlies and glacier rivers, flew very close to glaciers and the ocean, and Mt. McKinley. The whole time, I refused to show any fear and just acted impressed. I got out and went to my Sister and sort of shook. I have incredible pictures from that trip.

I actually think my most exciting experience is my children or proposing and getting legislation passed. That is such a rush.

Way back in February of AD 2004.

I even watched the fireworks one night at the Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow. If you've never heard of it, maybe you know it by its shorter name.

I didn't go on many of the rides, though. I'm not that kind of person.

50. Led a march by thousands from Dupont Circle to 14t & K St. in DC
on coronation day for the lil'dictator...we didn't plan too- but when people started marching, my wife and i somehow ended up at the front of the parade, with our big "Bush Cheated" banner(made to resemble the Bush/Cheney bumpersticker that was so popular way back then).
It was very exhilirating to look back and see all those people 'following' us...
unfortunately, a police line at 14th & K stppoed us all dead in our tracks.
