Not So Fast - Bush Claims Naming Rights to New Planet.
Edited on Mon Mar-15-04 04:40 PM by NewHampster
4:22 PM EST Washington, DC:

In an unprecedented move, the Bush administration has announced that the Whitehouse, not scientists, will decide the name of our 10th planet. This afternoon's press conference also highlighted the news that Halliburton will have exclusive mining rights to our new neighbor.

"The Government of The United States must protect the unspoiled nature of this small planet therefore we claim it for eternity in the name of Ronald Reagan and entrust it's protection to the environmentalists of Halliburton", said an administration spokesperson.

Bush World? The freepers can all relocate to their new planet and decorate it, just to their liking.

Good riddance.

5. I would not doubt it.
As soon as I heard about this potental new planet, I thought "The Rethugs are going to want to name it Reagan". They have named everything else after him, so why not! :)

18. makes sense to me
Reagan can orbit out there past the god of the underworld, in a colder, more remote place than hell. good enough. and since it's basically a dirtball, doesn't that make sense as well?

9. They can name it whatever they like
so long as they all go on an expedition (personally led by GWB) to invade the planet. The B-Ark is leaving next week, better hurry to get onboard people!

12. No way
they're whacko, but not that whacko.

I mean, I'm sure they'd love to but they haven't even tried to name the space station after anyone.

17. This is a joke, right?
I know that the Bush administration is arrogant enough to do this, but the rest of the world would object. This is a joke, right?
