What's your worst fear?
What is the worst life and death situation you would fear to be in?

Mine is swimming in the ocean and being attacked by a shark.

20. Same here
I like hot showers as long as it doesn't get on my face, and hot baths and swimming pools if I can wear a diving mask, and there's absolutely no splashing.

I'd rather be shot with a firearm than a squirt gun.

24. OK, that is very true
Four more years of Shrub HAS to be up there.

On a more personal level, I have always had a weird complex about looking at mirrors in dark rooms. If I go to the bathroom at night I always reach in and switch on the light before I even look into the room! (Maybe it came from watching The Watcher in the Woods at a very young age... haha) I don't even want to think about playing that "Bloody Mary" game!

I also get freaked out by porcelain dolls and anything else, people included, that has glassy eyes. And even though I love dogs, I used to (I'm totally serious!) have recurring nightmares about being attacked by lines and lines of chihuahuas walking towards me on their hind legs with their front legs outstretched- which is actually a pretty freaky visual if you really concentrate and think about it!

34. Rats? Rats?
Do you mean democRATS?
I knew 1984 was right wing propaganda - that's why the bad guys are the government instead of the corporations. Which is why the repukes want to drown it in a bathtub. It's bad, bad.

11. These people
I am not sure whether he (Bush) knows all of the prophecies and how deep of a student he has been in God's Word, but I was contacted a few weeks ago by the Office of Public Liaison for the White House and by the National Security Advisor Condoleezza Rice to make an outline. And I’ve spent hours preparing it. I will release this information to the public in September, but it’s in his hands.

13. Prison.
I doubt I'd fare very well "inside." That said, I live a squeaky-clean life, for what that's worth.

Although that's no guarantee if, say, you're out late one night, just walking home, and a cop car pulls over...

I have a very morbid fear of that.

But I also fear losing one of my two children.

And I'm very worried that Bush & Co will remain in power.

As Sartre described, the fear that everything seems to become meaningless and boring. A defense mechanism against the relentless barrage of injustice in the world, and it becomes a realistic fear.

28. BUGS!!! and heights
Drowning freaks me out, but I'm a swimming buff so it's not really a phobia.

Bugs though.... I know, they're bugs. But my deal is they are so small, so unnoticable, and some can kill you with 1 puncture. IT FREAKS ME OUT (especially spiders).

And I get vertigo when I look off a 20 foot ledge. lol

29. I don't really know...
I've had my moments of fear in the past, but they became remote when I realized that fear was an emotion that has a certain benefit, but the downsides far outweigh any good.

I think my greatest fear would be in a situation where I could do some good, but I would not act quickly enough to have the desired outcome; like being able to stop a murder, robbery or rape. I would wear the scars for many years if I knew I could have done something to prevent it, but didn't.

Pretty crappy fear really...but I've already beaten death several times, and as far as lonely goes, I figure I'm there forever at this rate.
