We got our tax check yesterday...
And part went to buy a copy of Adobe Acrobat (which irritates me, but that's another story), which I didn't know I needed for a new client, and part is going to support the campaign of a candidate (who I will not name, no bashing here). I could not get over how the letter we received (on the same day as the check) was written so as to let us know how grateful we should be to Bushco. :puke: If I had a bird, I'd line his cage with it...if you have a bird, I'll gladly send it to you.

1. Since the surplus is "gone"..
I hope that everyone understands that we had to borrow to write the checks.

They refund will be attached and will go toward your debt.

7. seeing as I'm a lucky ducky
I won't be getting one MrsGrumpy, you could always post a scanned picture of it and I can print it out. I don't have any birds but I do have cats that would be more than happy to have a copy for their litter boxes.

8. got mine, too
For the 16 year old, but nothing for the 19 year old in the expensive college. When he saw it, he suggested I thank Shrub and tell him it will go toward buying his college "book." I laughed my butt off.
Actually, I am e-mailing Shrub to thank him for sending me enough money that I can afford to send a campaign contributin to a democrat for president.

10. We got ours - went straight into our daughter's savings account
Since Bush is gonna stick her with the bill anyway, she might as well have access to it now (she's 2, BTW).

11. I got $1.06
About a week earlier I got a notice telling me I was going to be getting more than a dollar. I can only assume it cost around 30 cents to tell me this, not counting any salary time spent to write the note, fold it, etc.

Then we got our little check. And the DLC's presidential campaign strategy poll at the same time! Big day for mail... :eyes:

12. Gee, better watch out...
All your friends and family will get word or your windfall, and they will pester you incessantly for a loan...

13. We can't decide
whether to cash it, or frame it as a memento of the * administration.

Although, if we deposit the check, we can almost buy a gallon of gas. Tough call.
