PC question about the history drop down menu?
I went to look something up on my history and found a whole lot of sex sites listed. Now I know I do not go to those sites so how do they find their way to my history?

I haven't ever needed to go to my history before so I don't know if this happens all the time or not.

Thanks for any in-put.

5. Are you talking about the address box, or the history menu?
anything that is in the address box was TYPED there, or cut & paste.

If it's in the history, it could be a result of pop-up ads.

It was in the history. I went to go back and see where one of the sites was I had visited and say about 50 or so sex sites. I do have a roommate (male) but the computer is in my room and I didn't see him go to any of these sites. Unless he is getting up in the middle of the night playing.

I think I'll ask him when he gets home. I guess to each his own.

I was just wondering if they could have gotten there by any other means.

Oh I just talked to him on the phone and he says he only goes to one site and it in yahoo groups. Could they have loaded my history up by him just visiting the one place?

11. Go into your history folder
Look at the time of visit.

Could also be pop-ups or any hosted images you happen to pass by.

Could also be spyware/browser hijack.
