I'm increasingly dismayed at the made-up tarty looking female anchors. They're so plastic looking and you just know their looks weighed heavily in the decision to hire them. I see no such concern for the looks of the male anchors. So forgive me if I don't share your enthusiasm for the little strumpet.

There are at least the rudiments of the opposite-gender thing happening. Ever see that Dan Abrams guy on MSNBC? No law degree, no special expertise other than that his daddy is a famous lawyer, but an (arguably) pretty face, so he gets his own hour-long law-talkin' show.

I know it's certainly not to the same extent as with the eye-candy anchors of the female persuasion, but maybe we're making strides towards equal-opportunity phony appearance-based eyeball solicitation.

Does anyone know who that legal commentator is/was on CNN talking about Kobe Bryant? The one who looks like Cindy Crawford in a business suit? I only saw her for a few minutes on one of those TVs at the gym where you can't hear the sound, but she was going on for a few minutes, earnestly discussing Kobe Bryant in closeup, and about five guys were just standing there staring at the screen. I'm reasonably sure it was CNN. Any of you know whom I mean? Thanks.
