under the tongue. Let it dissolve. Works like magic. If it doesn't stop the hiccups in 2-3 minutes, try one more. I've never seen it take more than 2 applications.
For this eventuality, in future, next time you're at a restaurant/diner/fast food place, pocket a few packets. A couple of packets of sugar work just as well.
....take a deep breath as you slowly look and raise your head upwards....hold it and count to 20 then swallow....then let out your breath as you lower your head slowly. :)
Hold your breath while drinking down a large glass of water. If it doesn't work first time,try again right away. I've never had to do it more than twice and it does the trick.
