an avi file. I have spent the last 2 weeks, trying to get rid of the adware that was installed the last time i did something like this. Sorry, I tried all versions, some were not available, others required a "free" DivX codec . but you had to downlaod some add thing. Im too leery. Sorry. I feel bad, but I really wanted to see it. Maybe this group should think about more universal formats, so people can watch the thing. Far be it from me to make sense.

I also click on "Standard DivX Codec(FREE)" and nothing happens. Most likely a browser setting, but its already proving irritating.

7. Try right clicking ?

And selecting 'save target as' or some variation thereof.

(tongue in cheek warning) OTOH: if your ISP is sufficiently paranoid they might be blocking the download of .exe files. I hope not, it would mean that its time to up their dosage or switch ISPs.

9. OKOK I restarted and was able to get the DivX player NO ADWARE

Its cool. I put the Bring back Kirk page in my sig line and am going to upload a 10 MB version or so to my briefcase. When I get that done, Ill post the link to my briefcase here. Happy now?
