Anyone Here Ever Use An Oju...An Oja...An Oje...A Wee Jee Board?
Sorry, I can't remember for the life of me how to spell it.

Anyone ever use one...and if so, please share the results.

:)

4. Did when I was a kid
but haven't done anything with it as an adult.

My girlfriend and I used to sit in the closet and play with the Ouija board. DOn't remember any of it though.

5. My grandmother was TOTALLY religious and bought us a
Oujia Board for entertainment...like any other board game. Back then people were not FREAKS about religion, just dedicated care givers who volunteered time and money for the more unfortunate. We also dressed up for Holloween...'Preachers' are only attempting to exercise control over the masses.

6. Does the fact that 'Ouija' consists of
French and German tranbslations of 'Yes' mean anything?

Has Rumpelstiltsfeld been briefed on this blatant Franco-Germanic incursion on our occult consciousness?

8. My mother and I would fiddle with it when I was a kid

It used to insult us a lot -- good way of working out parent-child hostilities, I guess.

Whenever we asked it about baseball, it would insist that Baltimore would win the World Series. Then we noticed that was where it had been manufactured.

And it said the 1960 election would be won by a ticket consisting of Chester Bowles and G. Mennen Williams. (Does anyone here even *remember* Chester Bowles or G. Mennen Williams?) After JFK was elected, I tossed it in the closet and never looked back.

On edit: It really did move "on its own" -- which is to say, through some sort of unconscious gestures, like dowsing. It just couldn't predict for beans.

10. My one experience with a wee jee board was kinda weird
When I was about 14 or 15, I was playing with a wee jee board along with some girls, and one of them asked it who I was going to marry. It gave the name of Tammy Agee. Agee was the name of a well known doctor in the next town, but he didn't have a daughter or granddaughter named Tammy. However, I did end up marrying a Tammy who's grandfather was a doctor and a close friend of Agee's. Sorta kinda close, I guess.

11. Yes, and my brothers and I
were all so busy trying to push it the way we wanted to spell out insults toward each other that the thing never moved very far.
