The Army Dr. wanted to take it out but wouldn't let him.

Pencil lead doesn't seem to case infection.

The lead is visible, I would miss it.

I never understood way.

Now if a kid had a piece of pencil lead in their hand they would be rushed to the ER.

The school nurse just took care of the wound.

We were tough kids.

6. I got one of those too

Think it was first grade though. Right at the bottom of my thumb. I can't feel anything there, but there's still a black dot below the skin. Never got infected or anything, from what I remember.

10. Well, the side of one of my hands is a different story.

One morning I got fed up with my mom bitching at me and my grandma bitching at her and I hit the bedroom window hard. Funny thing is, I'd hit the window before and it always held up. That day, it didn't. Perfect slice right down the side of my hand. Probably could have been worse, actually.

11. I have a really good scar from a cat, my pet black cat.

I most have really pissed her off because she sliced the inside of my arm.

No ER again.

My Grandmother cleaned it up.

I don't know what it would have taken to go the ER.

That wound hurt and bleed.

I was stabbed with a pencil by a punk when I was in the eighth grade.

Still there after all this time.
