1. Good Browser
Edited on Wed Aug-13-03 08:42 PM by Chief
I've been using it and Phoenix, its previous incarnation, for about 8 months now. Beats the heck out of Internet Explorer. No pop-up ads!

2. Yup, there seem to be a bunch of us
Fast, customizable, and very user-friendly. What's not to love?

There was a thread just a couple of days ago with people recommending extensions. I hadn't gotten that far yet -- but now I've downloaded a few of the most useful-looking ones: Quicknote, Things They Left Out, and Download Sort.

Now I just need to know how to convince it to use Media Player Classic to open .ram files. (I've got MPC set both as the default program for the file type and as the application for that mime-type, but Firebird still claims every time that it doesn't know what to do with the file.)

5. Just Got a Few
Extensions, but forget which ones :)

Card games, I remember that.

Haven't restarted yet.

I was using the older Mozilla since the day Nutscrape 7 first came out and hated hated hated it.

3. Installed?
You don't have to 'install' it. Just d/l. Then 'run' the .exe file. This is probably what you meant though, and I'm just being too picky. :)

8. Macintosh
Hey, I still have to go through the act of putting it in me applications folder.

.exe files won't get you too far on a G4.

4. Been using it for a week, love it too.
The only problem has been with downloading drivers. Other than that it's great. The pop-up killer is, well, killer!

6. alrighty then
I have, I think Mozilla 1.3 and installed recently 1.4 on my sisters computer because I was teaching her the basics and could not stand IE for more than a few seconds.

What is Mozilla Firebird?

admittedly dumbo question, but.........

7. Outstanding browser.
I always loved Opera, but Firebird has all the goodies I found in Opera (mouse gestures, customization, etc.) and renders more web-sites correctly. What's not to love??
