Do you have summer plans?
We do. Two of them, in fact. Long planned too.

First, we'll be hitting Vegas on a very hot July weekend for a deaf expo and a poker tournament which about 500+ deaf people will be participating. I plan to start practicing weekly starting next month in preparation.

Then 30 days later, we'll hit California very briefly to board on this:

For a lovely 1 week cruise to Mexico with port of calls in Matzlan, Cabo San Lucas, and Puerto Vallarta.

I still haven't booked my flight tickets, but we have had this cruise planned since 2007. It will be our 10th anniversary cruise, and a true honeymoon cruise (We have never been able to afford one for a long time).

My son will spend both times at his grandparents as he does every day - since I work for my dad.

1. We were going to drive through the South to Galviston TX, but I think we will
postpone the trip till late September or early October.

We want to take the dog, and the summer heat will be too much for him.

18. Hey, PM me if you'd like free lodgings in Houston.
We're about an hour from Galveston and it's a pet friendly home. :)

19. Don't wait to long in case of a hurricane.
Might want to wait until October or November.

September can still be hot.

22. I agree with texanwitch.
September can still be hot as hell down there. Wait until October if you're travelling with the pooch.

BTW, hi Mark! :pals:

2. Yup. One of two plans. Maybe both if possible.
July - road trip from Minneapolis to the East Coast through Canada and back through the Finger Lakes in upstate NY where I went to college.

August - Maybe going to friends' cousin's beach house in RI.

6. The name is familiar to me.
Of course, most of my eating was done in the cafeteria and in my room with Pizza Huts.

Wasn't it a sub place?

14. This is what my summer looks like:
July - going to New York to hit the Iron Maiden / Dream Theater show at Madison Square Garden, then going to the All Star Game the day I get back

August - helping brother move from Detroit to Boston, going to take a nice probably week-long road trip while we're at it.

I'm probably going to take another mini-vacation while I'm at it just to get the fuck out of the office.
