A robin has just built a nest right outside my daughter's bedroom window.

We only spotted the nest yesterday, and were afraid it had been abandoned (no eggs, no sign of bird). But today there's a bird sitting in it, looking all mama-birdy. :D

I'm completely beside myself with the coolness we're watching out there. The kiddo's only 10 months old, so she really has little idea what's transpiring, but Mrs. Robb and I think it's great fun. And auspicious. :D

lucky you. What a lovely thing to watch.
We have finches nesting in the ivy outside our kitchen window. Unfortunately, the nest is tucked up just out of sight at the edge of the window. We see them coming and going and hear a certain amount of finchly commotion...but can't see the nest!
