Is this an appropriate way to recommend a business?
A very frustrating, complicated, and ridiculous family situation that brought about a mail dispute at local post offices in which my household could not get any of our mail, checks, taxes, jury duty, loan applications.....etc (These days with all the paperless you would be surprised how much you actually do need the usps).

After three months of no results, I contacted a local lawyer who, by chance, had worked with the majority of the people I was dealing with in the post office, met with me immediately, and out of the goodness of his heart, seems to have solved the problem with a single phone call.

Refusing any money, I asked how I could thank him and he just said recommend him to friends......everyone needs business these days.

I feel like waiting for somebody to ask me out right if I know a good attorney would not do much, is it appropriate to sing his praises to friends via facebook or email?

I don't want to be tacky and I don't know if this is.....

1. I think it would be a wonderful thing to let friends know how he helped you.
We all do to little of singing praises. :hi:

3. be sure to say he did a great job for you
not that he did a favor - he wants business, not people expecting freebies

7. I'm good. Hanging in there.
sorry to state the obvious with my advice - sometimes I hear people praising some donation or favor somebody else did for them and that is exactly what I think - "I wonder if they would do that for me?"

5. One good turn deserves another.
Not tacky. He helped you out. What he did worked. And connections, whether we like that or not, matter.

Having said that, Facebook, yes. Emails, no.

9. If it were me, I'd picket his office.
Then when people came to see what I was 'complaining' about, I'd rave about his service. But that's me.... For you, I think the Facebook idea is good.
