GOD DAMN YOU, ICELAND!

I've got tickets to see Bad Lieutenant (aka the reanimated corpse of New Order) in NYC next week. The problem?

The band is stuck in England.

Because of a fucking volcano in Iceland.

Maybe God is punishing the band for letting Bjork open for them years ago, I don't know. Point is, I don't want to miss this show because of a fucking ash cloud.

2. There are a number of trans-Atlantic routes. And -

while the eruption may go on for a while, the airlines' desire for profits are eternal. They will find a way to collect those fares. Have faith. But if they do miss a show next week due to ash from Iceland, we all are going to have larger issues ....

4. Yeah, well my boss was supposed to on vacation next week

Which means a vacation for me. But now - not happening. Couldn't get a flight to UK til Monday so he cancelled whole thing.
