I am in Love with this Album ....
Edited on Tue Apr-20-10 09:52 AM by UndertheOcean

Bought it 2 weeks ago , and practically have worn it out.

That is the only Artist ever I am getting excited about seeing live ....

Edit : and I think this is the first Artist that I think is worthy of the title of "Successor of Kate Bush" .... the same undeniable originality , quirkiness , genius are present here.

Still waiting for a male Artist to capture the Kate Bush spirit .... Prince comes close , but no cigar . Maybe only a female can reach that unique inner space that I find so appealing.

1. thank you....
I had not heard of her, and just watched her Samson video. Really beautiful. Always appreciate new leads, and I'll be checking her out more!

Thanks again!

2. Did you just discover her?
She's made some great albums in the past, as well. My favorite is Soviet Kitsch. There are loads of Regina Spektor videos on YouTube, especially portions of live shows. She has legions of faithful fans.

3. I discovered her about 3 weeks ago ...
I remember being impressed by the "Fidelity" video , then forgetting about it. I tried for a while to find it again , but I never remembered her name so wasn't able to find it .

I found it by accident 3 weeks ago.

5. I discovered her while looking for something on the Sire website
where they rotate songs from their artists (or did several years ago), and there was an amazingly beautiful song with a woman singing in a strange accent over a string quartet about someone building "a statue for us." It took me a while to track down who she was.

She's an original.

8. I know what you mean! I tend to focus on 1 album and play little else until I
wear out from hearing it. In this time of mp3's I wear out long before the album. I am looking for a successor to my latest obsession and will try regina spektor. I need to do something because it has gotten to the point where every song on this cd is an ear worm!
