11. Oh nooo..
I really am sorry. Will it kill them? I know squat about fruit trees. I grow tomatoes, and such..

Blame Obama and the volcano he caused to erupt..it'll make you feel better. :-)

12. hah!
if it doesn't freeze they should be ok - but predictions of 34 are a little too close for comfort - they were predicting 38 for tonight over the last few days and that was bad enough.

We are in a strange canyon and sometimes when it freezes everywhere else around we do OK, on the other hand sometimes we are the only ones that get it. Snow is no big deal - but if the clouds clear off too early and it freezes I will lose them.

3. Are you up high, Kali?
4600 feet doesn't seem too hard to beat out there.

Anyway, good luck and try to imagine how good this would feel two or three months from now.

Oh, and the wildflowers next month.....:)

Cheers.

6. yep
Should have trusted the mesquites. All the other trees are leafed out, but they KNOW! They barely have any little green tips showing.

21. I've been thinking of you this past week
with all the spring flowers in full bloom over here by now.

Did warm weather arrive earlier than usual in Minnesota?

19. safe!
it's actually trying to snow right now, but the lowest it got (at least by my cheap little max/min thermometer) was 35.2, WHEW!

Only supposed to go to 40 tonight so I think we are good. mmmmm apricot pie coming in June!

22. Glad your trees made it through the cold snap, kali!
It's supposed to be 77°F over here this weekend, which is definitely weird. I live across the street from the city park, and the view right now is just breathtaking. These huge old trees in their fresh, pretty spring green, the flowers... I love this time of year!

:hi:
