1. Judi Dench, of course.
She's the only "M" who wasn't a cardboard cutout character.

The previous, male "M"s were a bunch of stuffy, 'Rule, Britannia' twits who simply couldn't be entertaining when they were constantly exasperated by Bond. That was "Q"s job. And "Q" did that magnificently.

Judi Dench rules!

2. She rules in any role
I just watched "The Importance of Being Ernest" again. While whoever had that role in the original movie was OK. Judi Dench **made** that role in the new version.
