*You Don't Know Jack*

Just finished watching the drama on HBO about Dr. Jack Kervorkian.

Wow. Great cast, great direction, great script.

Emotionally wrenching, as all discussions are, about euthanasia.

I give it my highest recommendation.

Do you? Is the production true to how he was at the time?

I was riveted!

But Geoffrey said they did a good job with his character. The review I read said the actor underplayed him. He's pretty full of himself and quite flamboyant in real life.

The flamboyance and being full of himself came through quite well in this production.

More of a casual acquaintance. He's actually a pretty good guy. A left-wing rabble rouser.

It was a good movie. I watched it on Saturday night. Even my husband, who's usually asleep by 9 stayed awake and watched.

Kevorkian was on Maher Friday night. Did you see? Some funny moments.

When my son was in high school he had to do a paper on euthanasia (human) and he had to take a side pro or against. It was difficult for him, but he ultimately took the side of pro..it was a "gently" written paper. I think he's heard me say one too many times, that we give our animals more dignity in death than we do people.

I try not to influence him, and made him do extensive research.

You're right it's a tough subject, very emotional.

Good for your son......and kudos to you for helping him be such a thoughtful person.

Oh, and I absolutely agree with Kervorkian. Euthanasia is a hot topic with me. Death on the dying person's terms, and nobody else's.
