Y'know, I began to wonder if I'd heard the truth about the OK Corral
when I learned Wyatt Earp moved to Los Angeles and spent his later years as an authentic Western flavor consultant for Hollywood

1. If you are riding the rails in Arizona, hop off at Benson and travel to Tombstone.
Involve yourself in the differing views of the Earps and the Shootout at the O.K. Corral.
You'll think you stumbled into GD.

3. I lived in Sierra Vista for three years as a kid, and I grew up with the Tombstone legend.
The most important thing to remember about Wyatt Earp is that he was a relentless self-promoter. He consulted on Hollywood westerns in order to get his name in lights.

Funny thing I heard about Earp is that when the film business started to take off, he went around Hollywood trying to convince film-makers to make a movie about his life, only to discover to his chagrin that nobody knew who he was.
