since my country will possibly be in the hands of a gaggle of etonian wingnuts by this time tomorrow.

so i watched this novelty song, it has no relation to the above, but it's funny and makes me happy.

we don't have any power over things like welfare benefits etc. which the conservatives are eager to slash. just health, education, criminal justice. i imagine the amount of money we will have to spend on these things will go down if the forces of darkness gain power in london

however i read polling suggests that if the tories do scrape into power it will increase support for full independence. which i am more or less in favour of. i'm not really looking forward to that though, since the reason people say they will be more likely to support independence if the right wing gets into power is that the tories policies are going to make us suffer and everyone knows it.

3. Well,
maybe a rumor will spread that there are widows and orphans just waiting to be robbed (if one acts quickly), and the tory toffs will be too preoccupied to go to the polls.

Or maybe, as planned, they'll just wait until after the election.

...

It's going to a long fight against the wrong wing; and they've been making inroads in strategic places (including Europe).
