What is the strangest food your kitteh loves??
My cats are obsessed with green olives. First they roll all over them, then they eat them. My Maine Coon loves banana nut bread haha.

3. wow two green olive freakazoids!
I'll have to check that out next time I have some green olives around. Mama kitty likes a bite of pizza crust but really goes for corn chips. I suppose they are the closest to crappy cat and dog food, which I am sure she would prefer to the overpriced or homemade food she gets. Ungrateful b****

8. my cat went nuts over green olive juice
after emptying a jar of them once, we poured the liquid in the sink, and the cat rolled around in it.

Weird cat.

Not sure how weird this really is, being as it's cheese, but he loved the dried out bits from the top of a can of Easy Cheese.

9. I had a cat once that loved green olives and
angel food cake...not together.

The cats I have now are strange in that they don't like people food at all. When they were younger they would eat a little bit of chicken or ham, but now neither one of them will.

One of them really doesn't even like wet cat food. I give it to her when I give it to the other one, sometimes she'll eat it but most of the time she won't. She rarely eats their salmon treats either.

11. brussel sprouts
she loves them. No butter. One of my previous cats loved them too, and lived to a ripe old age (21)

This cat loves beets from the garden, but as toys. Seems small beets with a bit of stem attached and long, mouse-tail-like root make very satisfying toys. She will steal a couple small beets from my harvest basket when I pull them up in fall.

I don't know how strange that is, but most have my cats have liked chicken and shunned all non-meat foods except their cat food. One of my cats, though, had a great liking for bits of whole wheat bread. She wouldn't touch white bread.

she was so obnoxious about the rinds, I had to take them directly to the outside trash to keep the monster from knocking over the kitchen garbage can. If she got a hold of one, I learned the hard way not to try to take it from her. :eyes:

29. My cat Sylvester used to dig through the compost looking for melon "guts" and seeds
Once we figured out that's what he was looking for, we just left it out for him, so he didn't have to dig through all the crap to get to it.

Of course we also had melon plants growing in the oddest places. Never really amounted to anything in this climate, but apparently the seeds survive a kitteh's intestinal tract.

40. So, my kitty isn't quite the weirdo I thought she was
Well, she's still a weirdo, but apparently not in the melon department. I can't believe how many other cats here love it. My younger cat ADORES cantaloupe and honeydew melons. She won't even wait and let me cut it up for her. She just gets right in there and tries to eat it while I'm preparing it for her.

42. Beano
Both tablet and liquid form. My old man loved will go through the shrink wrap to get at it. I could never leave a vial of the stuff on the table, as I would later find what was left of it on the floor with a bunch of puncture marks. I switched to tablet form, hoping he'd leave alone, but he managed to open up the bottle and eat the Beano tables. He also likes beans, winter squash and pumpkin. Had I known he likes those things, I would have named him "Squanto". ;-) He is losing interest in the beans, but he still will eat pumpkin or winter squash if presented to him.

23. Be careful. Tomatoes and tomato sauce are poisonous to cats.
Tomatoes contain solanine, a poisonous alkaloid. It takes a LOT of it to make a human sick, but it doesn't take much at all to make a cat sick.

My cat eats a lot of the food I eat actually. I come home from work, give her her food, she takes a few bites and then waits to see what I'm having. Then after she has a few nibbles, she goes back to her food.

30. I had a cat who devoured Oreos
She'd do anything to get an Oreo. She'd lick and lick and lick till it was completely gone. She even knew when a new bag of Oreos was in the shopping bag when coming home from the grocery store. How she knew? I don't know.

I had another cat, years ago, who'd lap up my orange juice. If I drank OJ, I had to hold the glass in my hand, otherwise she'd dip her head in, or spill it, just to get at it.

My nephew's cat loves olives too. I forget what it is, but there's something about olives that cats love.

36. Grease
Maybe that's not so unusual...but Clover the neurotic pisspot will sit at your feet and stare at you till you put down the plate that's had pizza on it. She'll lick every spot of grease off it. She also likes pork chops--if you leave a small bite for her she'll gnaw on it forever till she gets it down. But she especially goes nuts for tuna with mayonnaise. What's not to like? Fish AND grease together!

Our dear departed Dilbert used to mooch tortilla chips. I think he liked the salt.

Jasmine doesn't seem too interested in hoomin food, but she'll beg and beg and beg and beg to be taken out so she can eat grass. She never gets tired of that.
