Do you read your newspaper's police blotter?
To see if any people you know were busted?

Our shoppers' weekly, the "Sun" has "Day In Court," I scan the names.

Once in a great while I see a name I know.

1. I wish Denver did it.
Denver Daily News had it, but then suddenly stopped. Don't know where else to look.

2. Almost never
The last time I even noticed it was when I was in college 20+ years ago and I saw that the guy that was our class president was arrested for some sort of alcohol related incident on my college's campus over Spring Weekend. He did not attend our school, but must have been visiting from friends on campus.

4. hell yeah!
it's not as good anymore though, since the paper got all "ethical" and quit printing names unless there was a conviction, but you can still tell pretty much by the location

shit, I had my name printed for a no seat belt traffic stop years ago AND THEY PUT MY AGE!

7. She hasn't sobered up SINCE that night...
.
...or else she might finally realize that what she saw
was not her age, but her B/A level from the Breathalyzer.
.
.
I mean, G-E-E-E-E-E-Z-Z-Z... nobody's THAT old.
.
.
.
.
.
I was arrested one Thursday afternoon in a case of mistaken
identity (serious) and, though I was released relatively
quickly (after spending three of the most boring hours of
my life in a holding tank), I still made the police blotter.
.
Some time later, I'm visiting and MiddleFingerMomMom looks
up from her paper and says, "So... tell me about your day on
Thursday."
.

.
This is the woman who once told me, "You don't drink as much
as everyone in the family thought you did". THAT day, she got
this: "Well, MiddleFingerMomMom... alcohol and heroin do NOT
mix all that well."
.
Relax. I eventually told her that I had just been kidding.
.
Well, when I realized that she had just read about me in the
police blotter, you BET I told her a colorful story about her
pimp pusher gangster hit man son.
.
Once again... relax. I stopped when she started hyperventilating.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
I DID!!!
.

5. Cleveland Plain Dealer doesn't have it...
If they did, it would probably be half the paper.

6. I do. Sometimes I see someone I know there.
I also like to know if any shit goes down in my neighborhood.
