$3 from the Army surplus store. If anyone laughs at me I'll hit 'em with it.

2. Not enough pockets

Just wanted a bag smaller than my briefcase and not some patent leather gucci crap. It was either this or a photojournalist vest. Which would be kind of cool now that I think about it.

Indiana Jones’ shoulder bag, or satchel, is actually a chronological anachronism. While Indy gallivants around the world in the mid to late 1930s, his shoulder bag is actually from the mid 1940s! In looking for a container in which Indy could store things like pencils, maps and bronze headpieces, the props people on Raiders settled for what is known as a Mark VII, or "MKVII," gas mask bag used by both British military personnel and British civilians during World War II. These bags were standard issue to everyone in London, because the government was concerned that Hitler’s attacks might involve poison gas. As such, hundreds of thousands of these bags were manufactured and issued.

9. I make sci-fi/fantasy props so I know a bit more about

what moviemakers used for various props than I should. :P Also, I decided to go cheap this halloween since I hadn't finished my mandalorian armor yet so I just wore brown pants, khaki shirt and my Indiana Jones fedora. Couldn't find a satchel, and the one leather jacket that would have worked that I found at Goodwill was just a TINY bit too small in the shoulders for me. But I did have a cheap little 4 foot whip that I put on my belt.

Unfortunately its a little hard to find a Webley mark VI pistol these days. Especially since the use a caliber of bullet that isn't made anymore.
