I am torn between admiration of the absolutely stunning talent displayed and horror at the choice of costume and dance style.

Actually, I've seen these girls (three of them anyway) before, dancing to something else I can't remember now, but it was a similar style. I think it may have been _Womanizer_ by Britney Spears. They're being "marketed" like this by their parents, hyper-sexual commodities at the age of ... what ... 8 or 9?

If you've seen the movie, it has a similar dance scene with little girls--not as scantily attired or quite as active-- and a character that's a pedophile. In the tangent universe, he gets busted with a 'kiddie porn' dungeon.

That being said, those little girls are incredibly talented. Choose of costume and song is pretty sad.

I don't know who sanctions this competition, but our teams wouldn't have had bare midriff exposed, that selection of costume and song as well as routine was terrible, good grief, these are little girls!

On a upnote, for as young as those girls are, they are pretty good dancers. A more age-appropriate song with most (not all) the same moves in an age appropriate routine, they would have done just as well.
