Why does Paul Rudd have a career in acting?
Edited on Thu May-13-10 07:43 AM by MrScorpio
This guy is like a Starbucks barista who's hyped up on too much of his own stash.

I just saw a movie where he couldn't act his way out of a paper bag. I thought that the last movie that I saw him in was some kind of bad joke. Now, I know... he IS horrible.

Somewhere in Hollywood are people who missed out on paying gigs because this dipshit has a decent agent.

2. The male Jennifer Aniston.
Which would make her the female Paul Rudd.

9. Same character. EVERY movie.
Only Jennifer Aniston plays Racheal Green in every movie she's in. Paul Rudd merely plays Paul Rudd.

13. On some days, it's almost as if Jennifer Aniston is the male Jennifer Aniston

3. Total disagreement here
I like Paul Rudd. I wouldn't want to see him cast as Winston Churchill or anything, but for fluffy throwaway comedies, he's a solid bet.

4. I disagree too. I think he's really good in the roles he plays which
are comedies (which, btw, I love -I thought Role Models was hysterical).

5. Same here.
I enjoyed him in Role Models, I Love You Man, Knocked Up, Forty Year Old Virgin, his small role in Forgetting Sarah Marshall--all dumb but enjoyable comedies.

7. Because he named his penis "The Octagon"
I never thought of any name that creative for mine...

10. I don't think he really ACTS so much as he just does an emotive version of himself.
Same thing movie after movie though. I don't know if the Frat Pack really needs to HAVE a range. The deadpan/sarcasm thing seems to work for their audience, I guess. I think if I were a serious actor, I'd actually want to study my craft and expand my range.

11. "Hey man, I just wanted to give you a big box o' porn."
Paul Rudd is too fucking charming. He may not have ability, but he's definitely got personally, and personality goes a long way.

15. I think he's kinda cute. Isn't he a writer, too?
..Not that being a writer qualifies you as an actor. I generally don't expect very much from movies Paul Rudd (or for that matter, Jennifer Aniston) is in, so I'm not disappointed.
