Tomorrow is my Birthday , I turn 32

away from home , and all alone , this sucks . NJ sucks .

Its 12:48 , so it is already tomorrow .

I am feeling kinda emo right now , OLD emo .

Tomorrow is my Mom's birthday too. She would have been 71. Never been to NJ, but anywhere sucks if you're feeling sucky.

I am sorry that you're far from home, and feeling so lonely...

I hope your day will turn out to be a whole lot better than you expect...

the European tradition (or at least German) is for the birthday person to host the event (and pay LOL - sorry) but you can still make it memorable in a good way if you want.

god, what I would give to be 32 again, alone or not! I fucking turned 50 this year bleh! (and the next person who is 65 can come along and call me a pup, now)

Was in Germany having the time of my life and not one iota
of homesickness until the day of my 19th birthday. CRUSHING.
Disappeared without letting my friends know it was my b-day
and went to this wonderful Czech gasthaus two buddies and I
frequented regularly. All refugees from the 1968 Russian
invasion. All homesick all the time.

Sat at the small bar by myself without speaking. The owner
came over and finally dragged these three facts out of me:
1. Homesick
2. Birthday
3. Wanted to be among people but totally alone.
.
She went to work on me. The bartender lived upstairs and
they brought down an easy chair from his apartment and sat
me down in their kitchen and waited on me hand-and-foot in
my own little hideaway.
.
Took about an hour, but this brought me out of my funk and
I joined the others out in the main room and had a fantastic
fucking birthday.

.
.
THOSE were some exceptional people. Sad, but happy and loving
at the same time.

.
And Kali... hush child 2.

When I've described you to people, I always say forty-.....ish --
as in you're PROBABLY over forty, but maybe not.
