Sound out with faith, let's dance!
grab a partner,
take her by the arm;
kick up the dust,
in a taconazo.

Join face to face
and if you carry heat
pull your hips away,
because with all the jostling
she's going to feel pretty bad,
if you let a bullet loose.

Do like Doña Lola
she's rather dance alone
than with Mr Pompous;
He always carries a gun
and even a machete
he's a real bully.

Music from the North
with accordion
and base fiddle
'cause there's percussion for the dance,
and with no fear of more guns
let the taconazo keep on!
