Make an audacious L O S T prediction in this thread. It doesn't have to be right.
But bonus points if it is right. Still, I'm looking for off the wall stuff like "In the sideways universe, Zoe is the mother of Jack's son" or "In the last scene, we'll see Smoky fly off the island through the small, stonehenge-like rock gate." Don't be afraid to be super obscure and geeky in your suggestions.

Here's mine: ]Claire, being Jack's sister, will be the next Smoke Monster after the MIB version of Smoky dies (or flies off the island through that rock gate over by the Others' original beach camp).

6. It just started here (West Coast). However, I'm only on the Third
season (DVD's) so I won't know what the heck's going on anyway(working during the evenings for the first four seasons prevented me from watching it in real time). I have to say I LOVE this show. I never thought anything could top Six Feet Under but this comes really, really close.

7. I'm on the fifth and have no fucking clue what's going on.
If you're only on the third - it gets weirder, crazier, and makes no sense with each passing episode.

5. Sideways Jack will accidentally sever sideways Locke's spinal cord
so that he is even more disabled than before.

Actually, I think its just the opposite; when Jack Shepard "fixes" John Locke, that will be the end of Smokey Locke and it will also "fix" Jack. The core of the story is what happens between these two men.

Edited on Wed May-19-10 12:01 AM by fujiyama
and that's what causes the island to sink in the flash sideways time line.

But I really do want to know why the hell the island is underwater in the alternate reality.

16. Don't know if this is audacious, but I think it is going to happen
Jack and Claire and Jack's son are going to the concert. Desmond is going to bring Kate. Jack and Kate will see each other and SCHWING all is right in their world. Jack's baby momma is Juliet. Sawyer is going to super cop trace Kate to the concert (with a little help from Desmond). Sawyer and Juliet will see each other and SCHWING all is right in their world. Concert is in the same venue as the art deal. Faraday and Charlotte will see each other and SCHWING all is right in their world. Hurley is going to tell Sayid to go to the concert and he is going to bring Nadia. SCHWING. Charlie is going to be a the concert and see Claire. SCHWING. I'm forgetting somebody, but you get the idea. They are all going to realize their "destiny" at the concert. At which point Faraday's mom is going to come out and explain some serious shit to us.

18. The age doesn't really add up
Jack is in his early 40s. Junior is about 14 or 15. Ana Lucia is around 30.

Even in the Lost Universe, I have a hard time picturing a Harvard grad spinal surgery resident knocking up a 15 year old blue-collar kid.

19. I think we will get far fewer answer than we expect
Left largely unexplained:

The Numbers
Why Dharma supply drops continued a decade after The Purge
How Radzinski survived The Purge and ended up in the hatch
How a CIA spook ended up in the hatch
What was the deal with Magnus Hanso
Who built the four-toed Egyptian statue
What the hell that thing in Claire's cradle was
Why Aaron was not supposed to be raised by someone other than Claire
How Sawyer managed to drink beer that had been sitting in a minivan with a corpse for ten years

21. Some we know
Some won't be answered. The important ones (and I judge important as important to the writers, not us necessarily).

Numbers: Somewhat answered in that Jack is 23. Jacob always liked numbers. He's had a lot of time to putz around on the island and come up with crazy number games.

Radzinski: Really not all that important how he got there, I don't think.

CIA Spook: Jacob brought him there on the boat to see how he'd do.

Magnus: Meh. I can live without that answer.

Statue: We might get an answer but ultimately, Jacob has brought a lot of people to that island. Some of them probably built it. That's enough for me.

Claire's Cradle: I don't want to know.

Aaron: Because Kate was a candidate until she became a mother.

Sawyer: Skunky beer apparently doesn't bother him. He's tough that way. Maybe the corpse keep it fresh.

20. The finale will have exactly three words of spoken dialogue:
"Good bye, suckers."

The line will be dramatically uttered and appropriate to the scene, and then the internets will literally explode.

25. They will all make it off the island. The final scene:
Edited on Wed May-19-10 02:58 PM by Tommy_Carcetti
Jack and Kate sit at a dumpy diner, eating dinner, discussing what they are going to do with their lives from this point on. Someone goes over to the juke box, puts in a quarter, and you begin to hear Journey's "Don't Stop Believing."

The door to restaraunt opens. It's Hurley. He walks in and sits down with Jack and Kate. They order onion rings. Journey keeps playing.

Outside, Sawyer is attempting to parallel park his car. The space he picks is narrow; he has to pull in and out several times.

Inside, as Journey keeps playing, Jack looks around the diner. He sees Ben Linus sitting at the counter. Journey continues to play.

Outside, Saywer is still having difficulty parking his car.

Inside, as Journey plays, the onion rings arrive. Hurley cracks a joke and they all start to munch on the onion rings. Jack continues to look around. He sees Claire by the register.

Outside, Saywer finally manages to park his car, gets out and races across the street.

Inside, the Journey song reaches its guitar solo. Jack looks up. He sees John Locke, dressed in a Members Only jacket, get up from the counter and walk towards the bathroom.

Sawyer reaches the door.

The Journey song is almost over.

Jack looks up and--(music suddenly cuts off)

Just imagine if a long running, beloved television show ever ended with a scene like that!

26. Jack and fLocke will duke it out mano a mano in the engine room of a Romulan starship.
Edited on Wed May-19-10 03:12 PM by MilesColtrane
After the beat down Jack reunites with Kate, Hurley, Sawyer, and Lapidus who are firing up the airplane after having rigged a red matter bomb at 'the source'.

fLocke turns to smoke and comes roaring after the plane as it taxis towards takeoff.

They set off the red matter which implodes the island, sucking the smoke monster in just as they narrowly escape.

Smoky is electromagnetic in nature, so Desmond is the only one who can get to the source without being killed.

Also, Smoky is the real guardian of the island.

Carlton Cuse did both shows so it totally makes sense! Then he'll just vanish back into the past and smack Bly upside the head w/it before he kills him. Oh and Kate will trip and fall on a pointy stick and die. The end.
