Need Help Identifying a Smell...
I can't put my finger on it and cannot describe it but it kind of smells like...well, sweet and sour, Fresh and stale and clean and dirty all at the same time... The kind of smell that reminds you of a song that is unwritten, an adventure not taken or a love not shared.


Anyone know what kind of smell that is?

Florida Panhandle residents report kerosene-like odor

A breeze coming off the Gulf of Mexico is reportedly bringing a kerosene-like odor to parts of the Florida Panhandle, in the wake of the Gulf oll spill..


Escambia County spokeswoman Sonya Daniel said the odor detected Friday is most likely from the oil spill, which remains well to the south.


Officials sent staff to check the water as a precaution, but no oil sheen or slick was sighted near the coastlines.

Officials believe the smell should become less noticeable as the winds shift.
