Fuck it. Another LOST thread.

I can't help myself. I just watched the Kimmel show from last night and it was funny!

But now I have a serious question.

What was that thing that Jack had to plug back up? And how did unplugging it cause the water that was flowing from above to stop?

Also, the hole and the stopper weren't the same shape, so how did putting that stone into it actually stop it up?

I mean, the set designers had to at some point say to themselves: "OK, so we have this basin filled with water that has a stone stopper in the center, now, when Desmond pulls the stopper up, let's make sure that the hole it was set into has a star shape! Yeah! That'll fuck with 'em."

Like, why not just have the hole be the same shape as the stopper? It doesn't alter the story in any way. But having the different shape just makes the audience go "ah fuck it, these guys don't really care."

And that's just one such question out of dozens if not hundreds I could come up with.
