3. It's been a ritual at my house for decades

When the alarm clock rings I hit the button and my wife and I snuggle (we never did embrace the C-word) for seven minutes, until the snooze alarm sounds. Then I hit the button again and repeat. We squeeze each other tight and don't let go until the alarm sounds.

We've been doing this for 28 years. Lately, she's gotten very thin from chemotherapy, and when we snuggle she feels different. This is just a reminder to hold closer for the years we have left.
