What are your Memorial Day Weekend plans?

Me? I'll probably go hiking on Saturday. Going to Kings Dominion on Sunday and then just hanging out at home on Monday, probably firing up the grill.

The eldest is back from college for the summer. The pool is up and ready. It is supposed to be a mostly beautiful weekend with temperatures in the mid-upper 80's on Sunday and Monday. :woohoo:

What I do every weekend.

also its getting really hot so we are due for a waterline failure
already have the ruined tire on the trailer (reminds me I need to go look for a new one today or tomorrow - oops)

otherwise the usual weekend stuff.

Driving Sunday to the Outer Banks for some beach time! Yeah! My oldest son and his boyfriend
are joining us. We should have a blast.

I have to work. Maybe I'll go to Home Depot and buy a cheap grill, and cook up some chicken or something outside.

I'll probably attend one of the local veteran's observances, and I might go over to the Olde Family Homestead and watch the Sox with my dad and my brothers, but nothing fancy.

Usually, Manchester has a really good fireworks display over Memorial Day weekend. They have live music (one of the regulars made it to the finals of America's Got Talent), fried dough stands, and the like. Unfortunately, the city screwed it up. They demanded that the radio station that organizes the event pay more than double what they used to pay for police details. The mayor refused to help mediate the problem, so the show was cancelled. The local businesses that run the beer garden, face painting tent, hot dog stand, etc, all lose their biggest weekend of the summer.

My life is just so fucking exciting anymore I just can't take it.

...and we haven't "been together" for a few months.

wife and children (and grandchildren).

Whether I agree or disagree over the reasons why, I do this every Memorial Day.

And it's supposed to rain all weekend.

But if we didn't go outside in the rain we wouldn't go outside at all.

I need some time off from work, bad!

Probably hit the pool and drink some brewskis.

Just relax!

I have the cool weather crops in, but still have a lot to do.
